Sergey leads financial software and IT projects
Sergey Plotnikov started his career as a researcher at the Bank of Russia in 2006, right after graduating from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. As an employee of the Bank of Russia, he helped develop the Bank's Forecasting and Policy Analysis System from its very early stages through to full-fledged operation of the system.
After joining OGResearch in 2012, Sergey was involved in developing and operating (semi-)structural models to produce macroeconomic forecasts for a number of emerging economies and in providing macroeconomic consultation services to several private and public sector clients. In 2014, he joined the software development team at OGResearch, where he has worked as a developer and a team leader on various financial and macro-modeling software development projects.
Sergey Plotnikov holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics.
