David leads business development and sets strategy
Before founding the firm in 2006 with a small group of leading macroeconomists in Prague, David worked for the International Monetary Fund. As part of this engagement, he advised dozens of central banks on monetary policy around the globe. He also served as an advisor to the governor of the Czech National Bank during the financial crisis and implemented a model-based forecasting and analysis system for the Czech economy.
David has helped a series of central banks move to flexible exchange rate regimes and implement inflation targeting frameworks. Throughout his career, he has regularly engaged with academic institutions such as the Economic Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Prague School of Economics.
David Vavra holds a Ph.D. in Economics.
